Here at Tenmile Distillery we are counting down the last days of 2022, and making some cocktails, of course.
Our last drink of the year comes to us from Chef Angie Mar’s beautiful French jewel box of a restaurant, Les Trois Chevaux, in the West Village.
Head bartender Eise Reid created “La Pausa”, a delicious, elegant and potent martini for the occasion.
“I wanted to use Sinpatch vodka for this cocktail because it’s unique; the vanilla notes from the charcoal filtering as well as the luxurious viscosity make it a perfect vodka to play with for a martini. With only a few additions for flavor, you have a great drink. I chose an aperitif, Floc de Gascogne, for its rose, almond and jasmine notes. Add some bitters, give it a quick stir in a tin with ice, strain intro he glass- and you have a dangerously drinkable martini.”
2oz Sinpatch Vodka
1oz Floc de Gascogne
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
2 Dashes Aromatic Tea Bitters
Stir ingredients in a tin with ice until chilled and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
And have a great New Year!
