About the San Francisco World Spirits Competition
Founded in 2000 by The Tasting Alliance, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition is largest and most prestigious competition in the Spirits’ Industry.
The Tasting Alliance Competitions are considered the most influential for a reason. Earning a medal from the organization not only helps brands enter and stand out in the U.S. and international markets but is a critical next step for any producer to earn recognition in the industry and with consumers.
The Judging Process
Judged by 30 world-renowned experts in the industry, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition requires that each spirit be rated through a blind tasting process. While conducting their tasting, the experienced judges evaluate each product on an individual basis, and not compared to other entries in the flight. During this stage, judges determine which entries are worthy of a Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal.
